Wu Shan Tou

This entry is a mish-mash of two cycling trips to the same place. Wu Shan Tou, otherwise known as Corral Lake (no idea why?) is a nice cycling distance from Tainan. So with the Adrians (Adrian and Andrea) we packed out packed our bags, loaded our bikes and headed off for the weekend.
The scenery along the way is not beautiful, but it is interesting. There are plenty of fish farms to be seen, but i find them to desolate. Cycling through small towns is a lot more enjoyable (even though traffic can be annoying) as they have a lot of character. Only once you get near Corral lake does the scenery become mountainous, before that, it is pretty much flat.

For snacks, nothing beats 7/11 for convenience and reliability, but when you want something a little more filling, it is always hard to know which place to eat at when you are in a new town (as there are always so many!)

The new 'Welcome to Taiwan' advertisement!!

There is a replica of Beijing's Temple of Heaven which is just very, very random. Inside seems to be some sort of tourist information area.
