Lanyu island prt1

Double ten day finally arrived, one of the few national holidays in Taiwan. My ex-workmates from Joy cram school and I had been wanting to go on a trip together for a while, so together with them and a couple of guys who live in my neighbourhood, we all headed off to Lanyu island.
Lanyu is not an easy place to get to, there are only a few flights on a tiny plane (12 people or so) each day which are booked months ahead, and the boat ride there is notorious for being rough!
This scares off many of the tourists which means that the island is still quite untouched.

1. An early start to get to the port. 2. Joy girls at the port

1. Arriving in Lanyu 2. Brunch!

1. My scooter had to be the expensive one!

1. At a local school

Posing with the girls

Pacific ocean

The only group shot!

1. Back at the hotel/church

Shots from a beach bar

2. Doing my best to try and translate, and failing!

Nice work albeit without any pictures of goats. Shame that. I like goats. Graceful, sure-footed mountain-climbers par excellence. What a superb beast, whether it be of burden or without, surely it is the goat's back rather than the sheep's upon which humankind has ridden to civilisation. Er, by the way, I don't have your email address but mine is thisismyodyssey@gmail.com . If you put me in your list of blogs on your blog page you can title it "Adrian - loser". That would be fine with me. Seeya.
