About 10min North from where I live is one of Tainan's lesser known attractions, a network of rivers and mangrove forests. A couple of friends and I hired a guide to show us around the area. It was an early start (5am) to see the sunrise over the river. However, instead of a clear blue sky, it was dull and grey, but the cloudiness just added to the feeling of remoteness.
Paddling along the river was a great experience; it was nice to chill out on a Sunday morning, taking it easy and seeing new sights.
