At the end of this month, I will be attending my first wedding. Even though I have heard that some weddings can be somewhat rushed (go in, ceremony, congratulate the couple, eat, leave!) I am looking forward to this one as it is going to be a little different.
The groom, whom I take Tai Chi lessons with, is a Taiwanese guy who grew up in Japan. He recently returned to Taiwan to study Chinese, so we both communicate using our limited knowledge of Chinese. The bride is Taiwanese and so the wedding will have a mix of Japanese and Taiwanese guests. I also know that YiMin (the groom) has invited some of his class mates from Chinese class to come along, so it is going to be really interesting to see what language we use to communicate with each other.
I got really excited when I received the invitation with my Chinese name on it. The first three characters are my name and the last two mean 'Mister'
