Betel nut farming

 

This is from a day trip to my friends’ plot of land in Pindong where they are growing betel nut trees (to harvest betel nut) and a few banana trees.  My job was to help clean up the land, which was left in a pretty bad state by the previous caretaker.  Thousands of rubbish bags that have been left to rot  under the soil need to be removed and too many banana trees that are taking over the land. 

Banana tree leaves are huge!!
