We drove scooters up to the mountain as the alpine train was broken, which turned out to work in our favour as it was a beautiful day, so we could take our time enjoying the ride up!
Alishan is famous for its sunrise and gets crowded on the weekends with people wanting to take part in watching the sun rise over the mountains. However, in complete contrast to Saturday, Sunday was a horrible cold and rainy day, so the sun was hidden behind the clouds during the sunrise.
So even though much could not be done on the Sunday, it was still nice to get out of town and have a change of scenery.
