Michele in Taiwan (prt 4) Shi Fen Waterfall and Jiufen town

Shifen Railway station

More reflections

Shifen is a small railway town up in the mountains

One of its many swingbridges

An annoyingly placed cable hangs in the centre of the photo

Focusing on something, but what?...

1. A grasshopper. 2. This earthworm rolled down an embankment and onto the path in front of us and scared us all (Michele, a couple of Taiwanese girls and I) as we thought it was a snake

Shifen waterfall was in full flow as thankfully the typhoon from...

a few days ago dropped a lot of rain over Taiwan.

Jiufen town used to be a gold mine town that was forgotten about until a movie was filmed there, then the crowds came and resurrected the place. Its 'Old street' is lined with shops selling Chinese souvenirs, tea and delicious local snacks.

Making shoes

Enjoying the view from a tea shop

The views from Jiufen are great, I took many many pictures...

as the sun kept setting, the colours kept changing

Until finally it became night and the towns below lit up

You sound lke you've been working like a dog. I've had to slow down and finish my crappy admin job, so I've got more to explore my interest. I'm keen to develop my creative side.
